Maldives Ports Limited (MPL) has said that one of their employees have tested positive for COVID-19 and the employee last came to work on 18 April 2020.

Responding to a question from One Online at the NEOC press conference today, Managing Director of MPL, Shahid Ali said that an employee of MPL tested positive for COVID-19 about four days ago.

He said that it employee that tested positive is not a staff on duty during lock down and was last at the office on 18 April. And there have been no reports of any other employees testing positive for the illness.

The MPL Managing Director also said that his staff are not taking part in physical work at the COVID village in Hulhumale’ but helping to send containers to the location.
