National Emergency Operation Center (NEOC) Spokesperson Mabrouk Azeez has said that an additional 5,000 test kits, 500 sets of PPE and 15 ventilators have been brought to the Maldives.
Speaking during a press conference at the NEOC, Mabrouk said that the items were brought in a cargo flight that had gone to Singapore and Thailand. The flight returned on Thursday night.
He also noted that 8,008 samples have been collected so far with 6,915 testing negative. 396 samples have come out as positive.
Maldives reported the highest single day increase in cases today with 107 new cases. From this, 95 of them were in the same shared accomodation. Of these 95 cases, 61 are Bangladeshis, 32 Indians and 02 Nepalese.
