The total number of soldiers who have tested positive to COVID-19 has reached 20.

Talking at the NEOC press conference today, Dr. Afzal said that 14 MNDF officers have tested positive for COVID-19 raising the total number of MNDF officers who have tested positive to 20.

He said that four of them were tested positive from the Kalhuthukkala Koshi military base and two from the COVID village. The 14 officers that tested today are from the EME Workshop.

Dr. Afzal said that the MNDF cluster may become a large one and so the contact tracing in the cluster is being given a special attention.

MNDF officers are on the front lines to implement the measures being implemented to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
