Another patient has confirmed positive to COVID-19 bringing the national total to 250 confirmed cases.

Speaking during a press conference tonight at the National Emergency Operation Center (NEOC), Spokesperson Mabourk Azeez said that the total number of infections in the country has climbed up to 250.

With this, the total number of new cases today have risen to 21. Among the first reported 17 cases included 9 Bangladeshis, 4 Indians and 4 Maldivians.

The first COVID-19 case in Male' City was reported on April 15th. Since then, the entire country has been placed on a lockdown as a safety measure.
