With the inclusion of six new positive cases, the total number of COVID-19 cases in the Maldives are now 226.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) confirmed that among these six new cases, five are Maldivians and one is a Banlgadeshi.

Six more cases had also been announced earlier in the day. That included four Maldivians and a Bangladeshi and a Pakistani. With that, total number of new cases reported today stands at 12.

While 226 people have been confirmed of COVID-19, MNDF today revealed that the number also includes five of their soldiers. With that, soldiers who had come into contact with those five soldiers have now been quarantined.

Maldives reported it's highest single day increase in new reported cases yesterday with 73 new cases being announced.
