Dr. Ibrahim Afzal has said that all COVID-19 patients currently seeking treatment in the Maldives are stable and that they are doing good.

Speaking at a press conference held at the National Emergency Operation Center (NEOC) tonight, Dr. Afzal said that everyone in isolation are stable including the pregnant woman and the Health Protection Agency (HPA) is closely monitoring their situation.

Dr. Afzal said that there aren’t many children tested positive for the illness and the child that are tested positive got it from one of their parents.

So far 214 cases have been confirmed in the Maldives while 17 people have recovered and 73 people were tested positive for the illness today alone.
