An additional 14 people have tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the total number of infections in Maldives to 108.

Speaking during a press conference tonight, National Emergency Operation Center (NEOC) Spokesperson Mabrouq Azeez said that so far 108 people who have been tested has been positive to COVID-19.

So far 4,960 samples have been taken in the Maldives according to him and 108 of them had tested positive. 23 new cases were recorded in between the press conferences from the previous day till tonight's press conference, as per Mabrouq.

He also added that 1,675 people have been identified as contacts through a vigorous contact tracing process. 217 places are under monitoring as of now.

Total number of people in isolation are 189 along with 1,546 in quarantine.

During the press conference Dr Nazla noted that the most recent 14 cases were Bangladesh nationals living in the same accomodation.
