Dr. Moosa Murad has said that the 80-year-old person who tested positive for COVID-19 in the Maldivian capital is still the same and the condition is stable.

Dr Murad revealed this during a press conference at the National Emergency Operation Center (NEOC) today, speaking about the COVID-19 patients.

As such he noted that the 80-year-old patient has not improved his condition as of now and that the patient is still stable. The patient is receiving treatment as before.

Dr Moosa Hussain had revealed that the man is a Maldivian who has had many underlying health issues including being bed ridden for two years due to a stroke. The man is being treated at the ICU in Dharumanvantha Hospital.

The patient is also on medication for diabetes, blood pressure and cholesterol as well. He also has a medical history of being admitted several times due to pneumonia.

So far there are 86 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Maldives.
