The total number of positive cases have risen to 84 in the Maldives as another Maldivian tests positive for COVID-19.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) noted that this case is a direct contact of Case 53. They added that since samples had returned positive, works are underway to transfer the patient to an isolation facility.

Case 52 is the patient who tested positive after having traveled to Haa Alif atoll Uligan. However the index patient has not been identified as of yet.

So far 64 people have tested positive in Male'.
