Speaking at the government press conference on the COVID-19 situation in the Maldives, the Spokesperson for the National Emergency Operations Center (NEOC), Mohamed Mabrook Abdul Aziz has said that another three locals and four expatriates have tested positive for COVID-19 in Male’ City raising the number of cases in the Maldivian capital to 47.

Before wrapping up the press conference, Mabrook confirmed that 7 additional cases have been confirmed in the capital, however did not reveal any further information on them.

He added that further details of those cases will be released during the press conference to be held tonight.

With this, the total number of cases in the Maldives is now 67.
