Two people who traveled from Haa Dhaalu Nolhivaram to Kulhudhuffushi on a canoe has been arrested.

Last night, Maldives Police Service said that two men traveled from Nolhivaram to Kulhudhuffushi without a permit during the nationwide lock down and went on the island after saying their canoe capsized.

Police said that the two men went on to Kulhudhuffushi City on the west point of the runway of the city airport. While neither of them were hurt in the canoe capsizing, the two used the canoe without its owners’ permission.

A 23-year-old man and a 30-year-old man are under arrest and an investigation is underway by the police.
