Health Protection Agency (HPA) has confirmed the tenth case of Covid-19 in Male' City.
In a tweet sent out today, HPA noted that the tenth case (Case 30) is a direct contact of the seventh case (Case 27). They further added that the patient is now being transferred to an isolation facility.
While the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the Maldivian capital has gone up to ten, the total number of people who tested positive in the Maldives is now 30 and 16 of them have recovered. And two people were confirmed positive after they left the country and there are 12 locals currently in treatment.
The first COVID-19 case in Male’ City was confirmed on Wednesday morning followed by a 24 hour lock down which has no extended to 14 days as the number have risen to eight.
