Covid-19 Spokesperson Mabrouq Azeez has noted that 75 high risk people have been identified as close contacts of Case 21.

Speaking during a press conference at the National Emergency Operation Center, Mabrouq revealed that Case 22 is the child of Case 21, who is the first positive case in the capital city. He further added that Case 23 - the third positive case in Capital Male' City is a direct contact of Case 21 and Case 22.

However they are unable to confirm whether Case 23 was infected by Case 21 or vice versa.

Mabrouq also stressed that works on contact tracing for all patients are still ongoing. As such, 207 contacts have now been identified as contacts of Case 21 and 22.

These include 75 high risk people. 43 medium risk people and 89 low risk people.

Mabrouq also added that 35 people who came into contact with Case 23 have been tested so far. This includes seven high risk people and 28 medium risk people.

He highlighted that the High Risk group and Medium Risk group will be treated the same. Hence, all of them have been quarantined and if any of them show flu like symptoms, they will be taken to the Hulhule Isolation Facility.

All three patients who tested positive for Covid-19 in the capital city are now at the Farukolhufushi facility.
