Maldives Transport Authority have decided to provide their services twice a week.

Amid the pandemic, the government offices have been closed along with the services provided by the Transport Authority.

An announcement from the Transport Authority said that they would be open and offering the services of renewing driver’s license for land and sea vessels, new motorcycle and sea vessel registrations, changing registrations of four-wheel vehicles from Male’ to another island and vessel registration number services.

And so, the Transport Authority is set to be opened on Sundays and Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. for application submissions to the dedicated application box.

Each application submitted to the box need to be sealed in an envelope along with a checklist of required documents for specific applications with the name, address and a contact number according to the Transport Authority announcement.

In the announcement, the Transport Authority said that each envelope should contain only one application and service cannot be given if there are more than one application.

Transport Authority said that once the application is process, they will be contacted for payment process.
