Another curfew violator has bee fined today in the capital city, Male'.
Maldives Police Service revealed that one person was fined for violating the curfew. The first time a violator was fined was yesterday, so today's fine makes it the second overall fine since the curfew was active.
Police further added that 182 people were given their first warning today which includes 150 Maldivians and 32 foreigners. Another six were also given their second warning today.
A daily curfew between 5:00pm and 8:00pm was made active starting last Thursday, as a step to contain the spread of Covid-19 in the Maldives.
Repeated violators of the curfew are to be fined by MVR 1,000.
