National airline Maldivian has revealed that the ticket price for the repatriation flights from Malaysia are USD 300, and that these flights are not profitable.

Speaking during a press conference today, Public Relations Manager of Maldivian Moosa Waseem noted that the repatriation flight to Kuala Lumpur by Maldivian on April 08th will have 200 seats, with ticket prices going for USD 300.

Moosa also noted that Maldivian had cut down their expenses greatly in response to Covid-19. He also noted that their current international flights are not business operations but ones that they are operating as per the government's request to repatriate Maldivians stuck in countries where lockdowns have been initiated due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Mosa further stressed that he believes that these flights will continue until all Maldivians have been brought back.
