State has revealed that the third Maldivian who tested positive to Covid-19 today is the roommate of the second Maldivian who tested positive to Covid-19.
Speaking during a press conference, Covid-19 Spokesperson Mabrouq Azeez said that with a third Maldivian testing positive, total number of positive cases has now risen to 18 in the Maldives. Mabrouq revealed that the Maldivian who tested positive today was quarantined in the same room at Royal Quarantine Facility, after having returned from the UK.
"One" has learnt through sources that the two are related to each other and has the same travel history.
Mabrouq highlighted that all three Maldivian Covid-19 patients are stable and improving.
As of now there are 18 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Maldives, including two people who were tested positive after departing the country.
