An additional Covid-19 recovery has been reported in the Maldives bringing the total recoveries to nine.
There are 13 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in the Maldives, of which nine have recovered leaving four active cases.
Speaking during a press conference tonight, IGMH doctor Mohamed Ali revealed that the patient who has recovered was being treated at Dharumavantha Hospital. The doctor noted that the patient was the third recovery at Dharumavantha Hospital, where the patient was being treated for severe pneumonia.
The doctor further added that even though nine recoveries have been recorded in the Maldives, there is still a chance of an outbreak and that we should stay prepared for worse.
All confirmed cases of Covid-19 are foreign nationals. So far recovered patients include three Italians, a Turkish and South African. Nationalities of the newly recovered patients have not been revealed yet.
