Six medical students from the Maldives studying in Pakistan has left the country to return home with the help of the Maldivian Foreign Ministry.

The Foreign Ministry said that students departed from Pakistan last night and would be arriving in Maldives today via Doha.

Amid the global COVID-19 Pandemic, the Maldivian Health Ministry has requested that medical students abroad who can help in the country to notify the Ministry. The government said that students abroad have requested to return following the Ministry’s request.

And so, 36 students in Nepal have returned to the Maldives and 51 other doctors are in the process of being brought in from Nepal according to the government.
