Covid-19 Spokesperson Mabrouq Azeez has revealed that all eight patients currently being treated for Covid-19 in the Maldives are stable.
Speaking during a press conference today, Mabrouq noted that the five patients who recovered among the 13 patients still remain in quarantine. Even though they have recovered, further monitoring is required hence they are to remain in quarantine for 30 additional days.
He further added that all patients including those who have been treated in the ICU were treated on state expenditure and that the amount spent on each patient fluctuated.
However he did not reveal further details of the expenditure of said treatments.
As of now there are 500 people in quarantine suspected of Covid-19.
