Nepal goes to lock down until end of March

Nepal has put the country on lock down the country amid the COVID-19 Corona Virus pandemic.

Media outlets in the country have reported that the lock down was announced by the government yesterday for a duration of one week; from Tuesday morning at 6 a.m. to 6 a.m. on 31 March. The decision came after a second person was tested positive for COVID-19 according to Nepal Times.

Under the lock down in effect, the Nepalese government offices and businesses will be closed and the domestic flights along with public transport will be suspended according to reports.

The government of Nepal has also advised the public to remain indoors and not to go out unless to buy essentials or for medical treatment.
