Maldives on Saturday reported that a third patient receiving treatment for Covid-19 has recovered.
Speaking during a press conference, Covid-19 Spokesperson Mabrouq Azeez noted that another patient has recovered from Covid-19. This brings the total recovered patients to 3 among the 13 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in the Maldives.
There are 229 individuals in quarantine and isolation. That is 28 in Vilivaru Isolation Facility, 126 in Hulhule Island Hotel, 16 in Velidhoo Isolation Facility and 59 in Fun Island Resort.
Government revealed that negotiations are ongoing with other resorts to increase the number of beds as required by the state.
According to the latest figures, 593 people have been tested so far in the Maldives. Of this, 580 tested negative with 13 testing positive.
