Health Protection Agency has said that despite the travel ban to and from resorts, staff outside the resorts can go to the resort while staff can also accompany guests to the airport for departures.

HPA announced earlier today that under the State of Public Health Emergency, Director General of Public Health has banned any travels from resorts to inhabited islands, and from inhabitated islands to resorts. A statement issued to further explain the situation, the HPA noted that staff will be able to travel to their resorts despite the ban.

However they cannot leave the island if they decide to go, including any other staff who are currently on the island.

They further added that supply boats can go to the jetty, but people from those boats cannot go inside the resorts. If they do, they too will not be granted permission to leave the resort.

HPA stressed that resorts should monitor such travels during the period.
