The Maldivian government authorities have said that two more people with symptoms of COVID-19 from Kuredu Island Resort are being brought to the Isolation Facility at Kudafarukolhufushi.
The statement was made at the government press conference on the COVID-19 cases in the Maldives at Dharubaaruge today.
Speaking during the press conference, state spokesperson for Covid-19 Mabrook Azeez noted that Kuredu Resort and Bathala Resort have been locked down so far, with no one allowed in or out of the resort.
He added that five are currently being brought to the isolation facility in Farukolhufushi, three of whom are positive to Covid-19. The other two are people who have been showing suspicious symptoms.
Mabrook further stressed that all of them were isolated after being in close contact with the Italian tourist who had tested positive to Covid-19 upon returning from a holiday at Kuredu.
