The 15 employees who came into contact with the Italian COVID-19 patient at Maagiri Hotel has been isolated.
Speaking during a press conference, state Spokesperson for Covid-19 Mabrook Azeez revealed that the Italian tourist had stayed at Maagiri Hotel on March 1st and 2nd. He stayed at the hotel after being unable to depart the country.
Mabrook added that 15 employees from the hotel who came into close contact with the man has since been isolated though they have not shown any symptoms as of yet.
He further added that the ticketing agent at Universal through whom the Italian tourist purchased his tickets have shown symptoms and is now being quarantined at Farukolhufushi. Mabrook confirmed that the Universal employee is a Maldivian.
