Managing Director of STO Hussain Amru has revealed that STO has enough staple food for the needs of all Maldivians.
Speaking during a press conference following the confirmation of two Coronavirus cases in the Maldives, Amru noted that there was no need to panic about food. He further stressed that this was not a time to buy food and necessities in bulk.
He further added that there was enough staple food with them and that there was no room for any worries.
He also added that medicine required for everyday use is also present in good quantities.
Health Minister Abdulla Ameen has confirmed the first two Coronavirus cases in the Maldives. These were two foreign workers in Kuredu Island Resort, which has since been put on a lockdown.
