Maldivians in Malaysia has been asked to take extra precautions amid increasing number of Coronavirus cases in the country.

A statement issued by the High Commission of Maldives in Malaysia had outlined a number of things that they needed to be careful of to remain healthy.

These includes increasing the number of times hands are washed with soap and reducing touching the eyes and nose. It also added not to visit medical centers unless absolutely necessary and not to meet with anyone who has flu or fever symptoms.

In addition to this, the statement added to avoid meat markets and animal farms and appealed to properly cook eggs and meat before consumption.

In the case of coughing, the High Commission advised to use surgical masks at all times and to avoid going outside. If a spare room is available to segregate the sick, it is advised to do so and to be within at least three feet should you need to attend them.
