Due to the global pandemic of the Corona Virus (COVID-19), Saudi Arabia has temporarily banned the pilgrims coming into the country for the Umrah pilgrimage and visits to Al-Masjid an-Nabawi.

The Foreign Ministry of Saudi Arabia made the statement today.

The decision has come in an effort to protect the people of Saudi and those visiting from countries at a time where the threat of Corona Virus continues to threaten the world.

Although the statement from the Saudi Government did not specify how long the ban will be in effect. And no comment has been made regarding the Hajj Pilgrimage. Media outlets in Saudi Arabia reports that all these decisions are temporary according to the government.

World Health Organization (WHO) has put out a global advisory to all the country to take measures to prevent and control the spread of the disease.
