Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has decided to investigate a disciplinary issue of Family Court Judge, Abdulla Mohamed.

JSC revealed that during the Commission meeting today, it was decided that they will conduct an investigation into Judge Abdulla under Clause 22 (B) of their law.

However, they did not disclose further details of the investigation.

While JSC has begun an investigation into the Judge who formerly served as the Criminal Court Top Judge, current JSC member and Speaker of Parliament Mohamed Nasheed was sentenced to 13 years in jail for arresting said judge and detaining him in Girifushi, protests against which toppled his Presidency in 2012.
