Hulhumale’ bus service adds route from Carnival area

Bus service from Male’ to Hulhumale’ has begun with the development of a bus stop near the Carnival Area in Male’ City.

Operator of the service, MPL, said that the new bus route began yesterday as part of their expansion of the service. MPL said that the route will have two stops in Male’ and two stops in Hulhumale’. They are; Carnival and Volley Court in Male’ City and Redwave and Centro Mall in Hulhumale’.

Changes were brought to the former driving test area in the carnival to accommodate the buses.

The decision to establish a Hulhumale’ bus route from the Carnival area was initially made almost a year ago.

MPL bus service previously had only one route from Male’ to Hulhumale’ that began from the bus terminal at the Male’ Industrial Zone.
