President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has said that the utmost priority of Authorities’ should be to safeguard and ensure the health of the citizens as well as tourists regarding the coronavirus outbreak.
President Solih met with some Cabinet Ministers and relevant Government Authorities and inquired about the latest updates of precautionary measures put in place against the coronavirus yesterday afternoon at the Mulee’aage.
President Solih also inquired updates of the measures taken to ensure the health and safety of Maldivian living China, and other Countries and urge authorities to continuously monitor the situation.
Relevant Government Authorities recently briefed media about the precautionary measures taken by the government, including the establishment of a 12-bed isolation facility in Hulhumalé Hospital and a four-bed isolated Intensive Care Unit in Dharumavantha Hospital had been set up to quarantine.
This includes the designation of three ambulances and a call centre to provide information about the virus and the clinical guidelines and formulating Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to address any possible cases that may arise.
