Health Protection Agency has revealed that a student from Ghaazee School is among those who were positive for measles yesterday.

A statement issued by HPA noted that out of the nine who were tested for measles two results came back positive. According to the agency, one of them include a student studying in Ghaazee School.

The statement further noted that 33 per cent of students studying at Ghaazee School have not completed their dose of measles vaccination.

HPA stressed that precautionary measures will be taken in the area and urged those who have not completed their vaccine dose to do so at the soonest possible.

With this, the total number of confirmed cases of measles have now risen to six.
