Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has revealed that Hulhumale' beach will be developed for public use, which was previously rented out for cafes after MWSC wraps up their sewerage works.

Speaking to "One Online", Managing Director of HDC Ahmed Suhail noted that once MWSC finishes their ongoing work, the beach will be developed as a public area to be used by all.

Suhail highlighted that benches will be placed in the area along with the development of a walking track. Though the budget has now been finalised, a date is yet to be set for the project which Suhail expects to begin within the current year.

HDC had informed cafes that were set up on the beach to vacate the premises on multiple occasions and in August they had done so themselves for an ongoing project of MWSC.
