Speaker of the Parliament and former President of the Maldives, Mohamed Nasheed, has said that the MDP members in the islands are not fully satisfied with the ruling due to the coalition.
Speaking in Haa Alifu Ihavandhoo this morning, the former President said that party members and the people involved in electing MDP does not get the deserved portion because it has to be divided among the coalition.
Noting that the government was formed through a multi-party coalition, Nasheed highlighted that the parties were independent going into the parliament election. He said that winning 65 of the 87 seats at the parliament has proven the people’s wishes for MDP.
Nasheed said that the governing in the country will be set in order according the collective mindset of the people. And the government in the country will not be in a way that the people does not want.
