Aasandha Company has stepped down as the managing company of Hulhumale Hospital.

The company revealed that they stepped down effective today, and that the decision was taken on Decemb er 26th, as per a notice by the President's Office.

President's Office was unavailable for a comment, hence it is unclear as to who has been assigned to manage and run the hospital.

Aasandha was tasked with operating the hospital on April 3, 2016.

Chief Communications Strategist at the President's Office, Ibrahim Hood revealed to 'One Online' that the decision was well planned ahead and budgeted for the new year. He highlighted that IGMH, Hulhumale Hospital and Villimale Hospital will be changed under the management of 'Male Group of Hospitals'.

However he noted that Aasandha Company will manage the hospital till the new setup is complete and added that an estimated date is unclear as of now.
