Former President, Maumoon Abdul Gayoom has been admitted at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH).

Secretary General of the Maldives Reform Movement (MRM), Abdul Aleem confirmed the hospitalization and said that the former President has been ill for about five days.

And so, the former President was hospitalized today to do some tests due to a prolonged cold.

President Maumoon has been making medical visits abroad for treatment from time to time.

The former President has been hospitalized after his 82nd birthday yesterday.
