President concludes two-day visit to Laamu Atoll

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has this morning concluded his two-day visit to Laamu Atoll and returned to Male’ City.

The President’s visit to the atoll began at Gan and met with the Island Council and heads of institutes on the island and discuss the challenges in development.

Second stop on the President’s visit was Hithadhoo and met with the Island Council and discussed development plans for the island and the heads of the island institutes shared the public concerns with the President. He then attended the 50th anniversary function of the Hithadhoo Regional Hospital.

The final stop on the visit was Fonadhoo where President Solih met with the Fonadhoo Island Council and discussed important aspects of development in the island.

President Solih also met with the fishermen of the atoll and listened to their concerns and challenges.
