The President of the Maldives, Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has congratulated the British Prime Minister, Boris Johnson on his win at the UK General Election and said that the relationship between the two countries will continue to prosper.
President Solih took to Twitter to congratulate Boris and his Conservative Party on their win in the election yesterday.
“The UK was the first country we established diplomatic relations with in 1965” said the President in his tweet, and “since then we continue to collaborate closely on issues of mutual concern”.
