National Research Council to be established

A Bill has been submitted to the Parliament for the formation of a National Research Council.

The formation of the council was made mandatory in the Higher Education Bill submitted to the Parliament by the state. The Bill states that within 30 days of the Bill being passed into a legislature, the President must form a National Research Council.

The scope of the council includes development of a strategy to improve higher education based on science and research as well as providing necessary assistance to relevant authorities where research is concerned as well as further training talent in the field of research.

The Bill also makes it mandatory to form a National Research Database to further help students, teachers and scientists alike.
