Minister of Environment, Dr. Hussain Rasheed Hassan has left for Spain last night to take part in the UN Climate Conference, COP25.

The conference held until Friday is being attended by officials from the Environment Ministry along with the Minister.

The Ministry said that the impact of climate change and minimizing the effects are to be discussed and will be advocate for assistance from other countries and organizations.

And with the Maldives being a small country with a fragile environment, the Maldives is going to advocate for the necessary steps to address the climate change.

A total of 25,000 representatives from 200 countries are set to take part in the UN Climate Conference.
