Five people have been injured during an assault in K. Maafushi last night.

Police confirmed that they received reports of an assault with a sharp object and added that the case is being investigated as of now. They also added that the five who were injured have been released after being treated at the health center.

However, no arrests have been made with regards to the assault.

Maafushi Island Council was not available for a comment regarding the situation.
