Transport authorized cargo transport at all hours during school holidays

Maldives Transport Authority has authorized the transport of cargo at all hours during the school holidays.

An announcement made by the Transport Authority said that cargo can be transported in Male’ City in all hours of the day from 25 November 2019 to 5 January 2020.

The most recent change to the cargo transport time in Male’ City was brought in July 2019. And so, vehicles are permitted to transport cargo from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. And from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., only vehicles under 350 kg are allowed to transport cargo.

Transport Authority said that the change is a temporary one for the school holidays and the regulation will go back to the previous times when the academic year begins on 5 January 2020.
