Hithadhoo MP Mohamed Aslam has rejected the election results of Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP)'s leadership last Friday and has submitted 11 points for review.
Aslam confirmed to "One" that the case was submitted today however he stressed that he does not wish to share further details of it as of yet since it was an internal party matter.
Some of the issues noted include voting arrangements as well as the announcing of the results.
"Generally I believe that my voter right was violated quite a bit. Hence I detailed all these issues while lodging the complaint. The party will decode on this now," Aslam said.
Minister at the President's Office, Mohamed Shifaz contested against Hithadhoo MP Mohamed Aslam for Vice Presidency. Shifaz was elected for a second term as Vice President receiving 13,233 votes while his contender received 9,957 votes
