Judicial Service Commission has decided to pursue legal action against judges who fail to submit their financial statements annually within the given deadline.
A statement released by the JSC highlighted that all judges are required to submit their financial statements, detailing their income sources, assets and debt, to the commission. The commission had also decided to review the current regulations in a bid to maximise the efficiency of the regulation. As such, they have now decided on auditing the financial statements in collaboration with relevant government authorities.
Hence the statement had asked all judges who are yet to submit their financial statements to do so at the soonest. Legal action will also be sought in the future if any judge fails to submit their financial statements within the given deadline.
