MP for Kaashidhoo constituency, Abdulla Jaabiru, has said that he would not vote to dismiss the Chief Justice, Dr. Ahmed Abdulla Didi and Supreme Court Judge, Adam Mohamed Abdulla in the vote set for later today.

Debating the report by the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) filing to dismiss the two judges, MP Jaabiru said that since the justice system is being destroyed in violation of the constitution and decisions by judges are being overruled with no respect.

Jaabiru said that the Constitution names the Supreme Court as the highest authority in the justice system. However, now that MDP is in power, they are influencing the system and putting people who would rule in their favor to the Supreme Court.

The MP for Kaashidhoo constituency said that he does believe that the justice system needs to be reformed. And with that, the people suspected of corruption in the government needs to be dismissed from their positions.

He also said that the government has forgotten that Agenda 19 states to free the JSC without political fogures.
