President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has forwarded he investigative report on the murder of Dr. Afrasheem Ali to the relevant authorities.

Commission on Deaths and Disappearances have concluded their investigative report of the murder of Dr. Afrashim Ali, and submitted the report to President Solih on November 07th.

Communications Secretary at the President's Office, Hassan Ismail confirmed to "One" that the investigative report has now been shared with relevant authorities.

A statement issued by the commission regarding this noted that Dr. Afrashim was brutally murdered around 9:00pm on the night of October 01, 2012.

Dr. Afrashim was found murdered near the stairwell of his residence on the night of October 01, 2012. During that time, Abdulla Riyaz served as the Commissioner of Police who had previously revealed that he had shared all information that is there regarding the murder with the commission.

The commission was formed by President Solih last November, in a bid to find the motive behind the murder along with the murderers and those who funded the murder.
