A young man driving a motorcycle while intoxicated has been involved in a traffic collision.

Maldives Police Service said that the collision involving two motorcycles took place around 2:59 p.m. today on Nirolhu Magu in Hulhumale’.

While both motorcycles involved in the collision had drivers of the age of 30 years of age, one of the vehicles had a passenger of 28 years; all sustained minor injuries. While both drivers have a driver’s license, the one driving with a passenger did not have the license on him at the time.

As police investigates the traffic collision, one of the drivers have been arrested for driving under the influence.
