A tourist has been injured after being hit by a bullet fired during an MNDF training session in Girifushi today.

MNDF revealed that a bullet had ricocheted and scratched the neck of a tourist on a safari boat. The person was since brought to Tree Top Hospital in a sea ambulance.

MNDF further confirmed that the tourist was not injured badly.

Police also confirmed that they had received reports of a bullet hitting a tourist, and added that they were investigating the report filed around 15:28.

'One Online' has learnt that the tourist is a German national aboard the 'Eagle Ray' safari.
