Drugs have been found and seized in Meemu Atoll Naalaafushi.

Maldives Police Service said that the drugs were found on the island as part of a joint operation by the Muli Police Station and Police Intelligence following a report on drug possession on the island.

In the special operation conducted yesterday around 12:04, officers found two film canisters of suspected drugs at an uninhabited house.

While no arrests have been made so far, police are investigating the case further.
