MET Office has predicted stormy weather with harsh winds, rough seas and tidal swellings in most parts of the Maldives for the next 48 hours.
In a statement released today, MET revealed that the current weather was largely due to storm clouds forming between Maldives and neighbouring Sri Lanka. Harsh winds are to be expected within the next 24 hours, according to MET.
MET had also appealed all to be vary of the weather and asked to take security measures which maybe caused by rain floods and tidal swellings as predicted.
They had also issued a white alert nation wide until 1600hrs today.
